Welcome To My World
July is flying by as a blistering pace. It is
already the 8th and it feels like yesterday that I got
married. I took the 7th and 8th of July off so
that I could get some projects completed as well as get a
break from the rat race I call work. However, as the
saying goes... there is no rest for the weary. As it
goes, I had a very busy weekend. First, there was
July 4th, on Friday. I grilled up several pounds of
sausage, bratwurst, and chicken (all smoked with mesquite).
They turned out wonderful and the Wife, Kiddo, and I relaxed
and watched the fireworks on TV.
July 5th was a day for rejoicing. For those of you who
know me, I got married on March 20th, and with that marriage,
I gained a wonderful 8 yr old stepson who I am in the process
of adopting. However, the biggest roadblock to the
adoption process is the natural father who had (until
Saturday) refused to willingly sign away his parental rights
even though he wanted nothing to do with his son.
Anyways, long story short, he called up Saturday morning and
said that he would sign the necessary paperwork. So, I
met him at my bank (for the notary) and at 2:30pm that
afternoon he willfully signed away his rights. My
son, wife, and I are all very excited.
July 6th was a day of Rest
Monday, July 7th, I spent doing errands that have been needing
to be done for a while. Spent the day with my son as
well.
July 8th, well, was my "alone" day where I vegg'd out by
myself and recouped mentally and physically for the months
ahead. I decided to update my site a bit. I hope
it is better than the last layout.
